STRIPPING STILLS
A stripping still is used to strip the alcohol out of your initial wash quickly and efficiently. It is typically the first step in the distillation of many types of spirits.
In the production of whiskey, the first distillation is done in a wash still which is a form of stripping still. For the production of spirits other than whiskey, a stripping still can be used to produce a clear spirit which can then be refined further using a column or secondary pot still. Adding a stripping still to your current distillery can increase your output by up to 400%.
